The new Ford Service standard

Ford launches National fixed price car servicing

The Ford company is creating a range of new services under the ‘FordBlueService’ name. They have capped the price of servicing and maintenance on older vehicles in their brand with their new programme. Through this programme they are hoping to make the cost of motoring more transparent and affordable. We at VRI Gap Insurance have recently been focusing on car servicing standards and companies throughout the UK.

This new programme is called ‘Motorcraft4+’ and was developed by the company and it’s dealer network. They are hoping this will strengthen the relationship between their dealers and customers. Their main focus is on those with Ford cars and commercial vehicles aged 4 years or older and with the latest Focus and Fiesta models that 4 years will be soon approaching.

Customer service at Ford

Over 550 of their dealerships across the UK will offer the Motorcraft4+ package. Customers can also book a service appointment online now through the new online service booking website by selecting their vehicle model.

The director of the companies customer service division, John Wellsman, commented that the, “Motorcraft4+ package offers all owners of Ford vehicles the quality of service they expect,” yet, “with unrivalled expertise, at competitive prices.”

The package accelerates the changing of the companies customer service experience, supported by new-look dealerships and is attempting to offer affordable, high-quality service combined with elevated levels of Ford’s technical expertise.

The Benefits at Ford

The package offers national maximum price service options with a minor service costing £119 and a major service costing £189. The maximum MOT is set at £35 but could be lowered to £30 when combined with the Motorcraft4+ package. These prices include all required parts, VAT and labour by company-trained technicians.

Max price servicing is not the only benefit of the Motorcraft4+ package since vehicles using it will also receive free roadside assistance, Ford’s eCHECK 30-point visual inspection and they’ll benefit from the Ford Accident Management Service that is available through the free one call 24/7 helpline.

Not only this but the company has also introduced ‘price capping’ of tyres to it’s Motorcraft4+ package. The fitted price of all brands of tyre remains at competitive prices.

If this wasn’t good enough, customers with the package also benefit from bonus NECTAR points on servicing and MOTs. The Ford customers will also receive a complementary wash and vac.
